Sweet Tahoe Time Ice Cream – Family-Friendly, Creamy Treats in Kings Beach, CA

As a first-time visitor from Japan, I was absolutely impressed. Not only is the ice cream top quality--rich, creamy, and full of flavor--but the whole atmosphere of the shop is truly special. It's warm, welcoming, and perfectly organized, with staff who genuinely care about their guests. What makes it even better for families is the thoughtful setup inside: toys and little touches that keep kids happy and entertained. After a long day playing by the lake, this place feels like the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and treat yourself. Highly recommended--you'll definitely want to come back! of course we'll come back again.

Overall a very cute spot for a quick sweet treat. Albeit slightly expensive for ice cream, not much higher than what you would pay in Incline for anything, anyways. We tried the Huckleberry Ice Cream, it was delicious, but 5$ for a small is steep. Place was very crowded when we went, but it's a fun 10 minute detour while on the beach or nearby.

A lovely gem! Such a friendly and nice staff who won us over as soon as we walked in with “would your dog like a pup cup?”. A good selection of flavors and delicious waffle cones. Will definitely make a stop whenever we’re in the area!

We stop here every time we're nearby for a hot chocolate in the winter or some ice cream in the summer. Great service, plenty of seating for larger groups, and the friendliest staff you could possibly ask for. It's a hidden gem for families!

What a Great place! So glad we stopped here. Ice cream was delicious. But this place really shines in the ambiance and welcome they provide. Fresh flowers on the adorable bear tables, zen bunny and frog, dog run area - awesome!

What an amazing spot! Not only is the ice cream delicious. They have the most patient man working the ice cream counter. The flavors are listed ABOVE the counter so you can see while you stand in line. No charge for a topping, cute fireplace, plenty of seating. AND I went to the restroom and they had a handful of spare diapers for kiddos in need. That kind of thoughtful and caring touch is just amazing and goes a long way for a mom whose kid has been out of diapers for a long time. My kid’s review: this place is so good that I love it. Big sized ice creams, so make sure you’re sharing if you get a large. It’s super good. I’d recommend the sherbet. It’s got really good ice cream and the guy who served me is really nice.

Friendly courteous service, great tunes coming thru the speakers, delicious ice cream (and many flavors) along with plenty of seating and outdoor seating in the back make this ice cream parlor a cool place to have your late afternoon snack and hangout. Toppings are complementary with your order, there's no skimping on your scoops and you get a free story with your order by the colorful, easy going staff.

This is our favorite ice cream shop to go whenever we are in this neighborhood. This is cute little shop and have all the usual flavors. Parking here is bit tricky and limited. You are better off parking few blocks away.
